Crescent Heights VILLAGE DAYS (May 4- July 1) will celebrate the people and places in our community, encouraging residents to get out to public events in hopes of building community connection with other residents and helping to build the cultural capacity of our neighbourhood. During VILLAGE DAYS , Crescent Heights Community Association will produce a number of official VILLAGE DAY events. We are also reaching out to local residents, businesses and organizations who are already hosting community programming during that time to program their events in conjunction with VILLAGE DAYS.
So far we have the following events planned and programmed:

-Village Days Kick-Off Concert (May 4th)
-Jane’s Walk (not limited to only one)
-Placemaking Workshops
-Art exhibitions in local businesses
-Fairy Doors in the Community
-River Clean Up
-Community Garden meet-up
-Play in the Park
-Pulse Studio Block Party
-Neighbour Network Night
-Canada Day Crescent Heights East vs. West Water Fight (July 1)
-along with a number of public placemaking projects organized by residents. (CREATIVE VILLAGE ACTION GRANTS)

We are awarding a number of CREATIVE VILLAGE ACTION GRANTS to local residents who have a community project in mind they would like to coordinate. We are hoping that this will give residents a chance to celebrate the spaces and assets we have in this community but also get to know the other 6,235 residents that make up Crescent Heights.

CREATIVE VILLAGE ACTION GRANTS help Crescent Heights residents to transform their ideas into actions that benefit their neighbourhoods, encourage the involvement of other residents, and build cooperation among groups and residents. Action grants can be up to $1000.
