Welcome to the Crescent Heights Community Garden and Food Forest!
Our Community Gardens were established in 2019 with 21 raised beds for community members to have access to or expand their personal gardening space in a social atmosphere. We added a food forest in 2020 with edible trees & shrubs to add perennial life to the gardens and are looking forward to another exciting year.
The Crescent Height Community Gardens are located in the green space between the Crescent Heights Community Hall (1101 2nd St NW) and the Crescent Heights High School Parking Lot.
Community garden plots are available for full-season rental from May to October and all proceeds from the plot rentals are reinvested into garden activities and supplies throughout the year. Members of the gardens can join the Garden Committee that helps activate and build connection between garden members through events within our gardens and in the broader Calgary community gardening community.
We have a small amount of garden plots available for the 2023 season if you would like to join us this year! Please read over the Membership Agreement below and email garden@crescentheightsyyc.ca with the Community Garden Application Form and we will be happy to welcome you to our gardens.
Please note that if you are not already a member of the Crescent Heights Community Association, we will ask that you sign up before becoming a Community Garden Member. Rates are based on a pay-what-you-can scale to welcome all to our Community Association free of financial barriers. Purchase your association membership here.
